Zusammenfassung:	A noninvasive method of estimating blood protein concentration is presented. The instrumentation developed is based on the measurement of ultrasonic wave absorption in blood, independently from the overall attenuation outside the region of interest. The instrument consists of a dual-gated pulsed Doppler operating at 20 MHz and a signal-processing unit from DC to 20 kHz.
