Sampling of PM 10, PM 2.5 and PM 1 and chemical analysis by total-reflection X-ray fluorescence analysis

Zusammenfassung:Chemical characterization of finer aerosols are given more importance because they are more harmful to health. For chemical characterization of these particulate matters (PM), atomic absorption spectrometry, ion chromatography and total-reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF) analysis are used. The filtration samplers are calibrated in the laboratory and used for field measurements to determine the chemical compositions of particle size fractions.
