Ultrasonography in the diagnosis of the abdominal disorders - results from Slovenia

In the period of 4 months 2500 investigations were done. They were performed on a TOSHIBA ECCOCEE, model SSA - 340A, using linear 6-8-10 MHz and convex 6-3,7-3 MHz probes. The patients, male and female, were 6 months until 92 years old. They were send to be investigated by general practitioners, several kind of specialists or they decided to be checked on their own (sometimes for a second opinion). In every patient the abdominal organs (liver with gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, pancreas, aorta, prostate or uterus with ovaries) were checked. In the presentation their main ultrasonographic diagnosis will be shown considering their age and sex. Some of the most interesting cases will be briefly discussed.
