Combination of measurement of uterine Doppler blood perfusion and 3-D sonographic placental volume for the prediction of adverse pregnancy outcome

The usefulness of placental volume measured in week 16-18, in combination with the assessment of uterine perfusion in week 22, to predict high risk pregnancies was assessed. In addition, a factor to predict adverse pregnancy outcome at an early gestation was developed. The sonographic placental volu...

Zusammenfassung:The usefulness of placental volume measured in week 16-18, in combination with the assessment of uterine perfusion in week 22, to predict high risk pregnancies was assessed. In addition, a factor to predict adverse pregnancy outcome at an early gestation was developed. The sonographic placental volume measurement between week 16 and 18, in combination with the measurement of uterine perfusion in week 22, provide a suitable mechanism for risk estimation in pregnancy.
