Zusammenfassung: | Some senior women prematurely stop or markedly reduce their driving. Although not restricted by medical or financial limitations, they drive infrequently or not at all. Through focus groups, a sample of these women were asked why they limit their driving, how they feel about their current mobility, and whether they have considered a future when they might need to drive more. On-road driving evaluations assessed their driving abilities. This research suggests that some of these senior women want to drive more and can do so capably. On-road assessments and refresher lessons may be effective interventions for them. |
