Zusammenfassung:One of the methods to compare the performance of a new ergonomic design to an old one is by using statistical analysis that is based on the analysis of variance (ANOVA) model. While the ANOVA model can provide answers to the question concerning performance differences, it cannot be used to prove that systems are equally as good, or what is referred to as the null hypothesis. It was found that proving the null hypothesis can be used as an equivalency testing which can be applied to human factors projects to show that new designs are at least as good as, if not better than, the old ones.
