Hyperpolarized gas imaging with a simple programmable gas delivery system

A simple system for precise volume delivery of hyperpolarized noble gas to an animal or human inside an MR scanner is described. Dynamic images of the breathing cycle of a live rat lung were demonstrated using this system.
