Nonlinear analysis of pulse waves measured at brachial artery
It is well known that the wave forms of pulse waves in humans are chaotic. Zusammenfassung: | It is well known that the wave forms of pulse waves in humans are chaotic. Pulse waves of subjects over a wide age range were measured at the brachial artery, and their embedding dimensions and the numbers of active degrees of freedom of the dynamics (d/sub L/s) were calculated using global and local false nearest neighbor methods. The d/sub L/s tend to decrease as the subject's age increases. |
