Zusammenfassung:A new glucose monitoring system for the haemodialysis is presented. This new tool measures real-time glucose concentrations in the dialysate flow of the artificial kidney. The background signal coming from present clinical interferents is effectively rejected by using a differential measurement set-up. The amperometric device is based on thick film RuO 2 sensors. They are connected to a novel portable system with an optimal patient safety protection. This is guaranteed by means of a galvanic-isolated power supply and an optically-isolated data-communication to a lap-top PC. The sensor interface can easily be controlled via a graphical user interface-screen.
