Zusammenfassung:Antibacterial sargaquinoic acid derivatives were isolated from the brown alga Sargassum sagamianum. The structures of these quinone metabolites were confirmed by NMR and mass spectroscopy, and by comparison with published data. The relationship between their structures and antibacterial activities are briefly discussed.
