Zusammenfassung:Nilsson's pipefish Syngnathus rostellatus Nilsson 1855 was recorded for the first time in the Tunisian waters (Gulf of Tunis, northern Tunisia). Morphometrical measurements, counts and a short description of the species are reported in this paper. This is the fourth finding of 5. rostellatus in the Mediterranean, and it confirms the occurrence of the species in this sea.
