Zusammenfassung: | Leaves and floating stems of Ipomoea aquatica, a common vegetable and pig food in Thailand, had accumulated 075-126 ppm mercury in leaves and 028-068 in the stems, from an area near a caustic soda factory. This compares with levels of 001-017 ppm from unpolluted areas. These results and the levels of mercury in fish constitute a serious health hazard in the area. |
