Rhabdomyolysis and acute renal failure associated with the co-administration of daptomycin and an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor

The first case of creatine phosphokinase elevation with rhabdomyolysis and acute renal failure that developed during the co-administration of daptomycin and an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor is discussed. Symptoms resolved after discontinuation of daptomycin.
