Zusammenfassung:L-moment ratio diagrams were used to determine the possible probability distribution type of low streamflow in different climatic regions of Canada, represented by annual minimum daily streamflow. The study was applied to 11 climate regions, which are described briefly, utilizing data from streamflow observation stations from the Reference Hydrometric Basin Network database. Results showed that the Parson type III probability distribution represented the statistical properties of annual minimum daily streamflow, but the three-parameter lognormal and log Pearson type III distributions were also identified as potential candidates.
