Abstracts in German-Language Journals Used for Selection of Relevant Articles for 2007

Scheffler and Bohnsack present several abstracts of an article regarding sports medicine. One of the abstracts assesses the efficacy of 3-dimensional collagen gel ACT in the treatment of patellofemoral cartilage lesions. In this study, a significant clinical benefit was found for the treatment of isolated patellofemoral full-thickness cartilage lesions with a 3D matrix system at midterm follow-up. Further long-term follow-up will have to substantiate the findings of this study to recommend this technique as an alternative for conventional ACT.
