Ascidians (Polyclinidae, Pseudodistomidae and Polycitoridae) from the western Indian Ocean

Sampling from different localities in the western Indian Ocean (Mozambique, Madagascar, Mauritius, and the Maldives) updates the ascidian list with new species and other poorly known species, or previously recorded only from the Pacific Ocean. Of the 27 species described, 16 are new, nine belong to the Polyclinidae, one to the Pseudodistomidae, and six to the Polycitoridae.Original Abstract: Des recoltes en diverses localites de l'ocean Indien (Mozambique, Madagascar, Maurice, Maldives) ont permis d'ajouter a la liste des ascidies des especes nouvelles et des especes mal connues ou seulement representees dans l'ocean Pacifique. Sur les 27 especes decrites figurent 16 especes nouvelles, neuf Polyclinidae, une Pseudodistomidae et six Polycitoridae.
