Zusammenfassung:The following new species related to Amarygmus hydrophiloides Fairmaire, 1849 are described and illustrated: Amarygmus arcanus, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus aspernans, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus caerulosus spec. n. (New Guinea), Amarygmus caesius, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus difficilis, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus discrebilis, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus glaucus, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus greensladei, spec. nov. (Solomon Islands, New Guinea), Amarygmus hannah, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus hiekei, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus necopinus, spec. nov. (New Guinea), Amarygmus venetus, spec. nov. (Isls. Bacan and Halmahera of the Northern Moluccas), and Amarygmus violatinctus, spec. nov. (Solomon Isls.). A determination key of these species is provided. Amarygmus samoensis Haag-Rutenberg, 1879 is a junior synonym of Amarygmus hydrophiloides Fairmaire, 1849 [syn. nov.].
