Zusammenfassung: | A phenotypic characterization of the haemoglobins of the marine teleosts Chaetodipterus faber Ander cultivation in floating cages was realized. The separation of the haemoglobins was done by electrophoresis. Samples of 40 fish revealed the presence of three types of haemoglobins, HbI, HbII, and Hb. Haemoglobin HbI is a tetrameter whose globinic components are two alpha-type chains and two beta chains, namely a super(a), a super(b), b super(a), and b super(b), all with distinct migration velocities. The difference between the haemoglobins number reported here and those reported in a previous study suggest that the development of these haemoglobins takes place along with ontogenic changes, which could in turn be related to habitat changes and variations in environmental conditions. |
