Zusammenfassung:Two nodulation mutations were induced in white common bean by treating seeds of two cultivars with ethyl methylsulfonate (EMS). Nitrate-tolerant supernodulation (NTSN) mutants were obtained with EMS in the presence of nitrate. It was discovered that one recessive gene controls the NTSN characteristic, and the gene symbol nod has been assigned to it.
