Zusammenfassung: | This paper gives a description of the essential temperature characteristics of Croatia based on the work involved in producing a digital map of mean annual temperature. The map has been produced based on data from 161 climatological and main meteorological stations in Croatia and Slovenia for the period 1961-1990. It has been developed by using the linear regression model based on the relationship between temperature, as a dependent variable, and longitude, latitude and altitude, as independent variables in the grid points. This model has been applied to produce the digital map. The lowest annnual temperatures, 2-3 degree C, are registered at the top of the highest mountains. In the lowland of the continental part of Croatia, the mean annual temperature is around 11 degree C. Along the coast, the temperature increases from north to south, from 13 to 17 degree C. |
