Zusammenfassung:Morrison-Beedy and Rossiter present a study that examines the best practices for academia to ensure student success and military/veteran focus. They conclude that integrating various components within an academic setting across educational, research, clinical, and partnership arms led to a robust military- and veteran-focused initiative that helped transform the college in both reputation and results. Similar approaches could be used to mesh together other topical areas of interest with the key being the knitting together both across and up and down within the various threads that comprise an academic unit. They also discuss the ability for institutions to share lessons learned that will provide continuing "food for thought" needed by those in the profession to improve educational and healthcare outcomes for those across the globe who have served in harm's way.
