Zusammenfassung: | An important aspect of migration is its impact on health, both within the migrant communities and on the local populations of the host countries. However, despite strong interrelationships between migration and health, the public health perspectives of migration are often overlooked with more emphasis paid to its economic, political, sociocultural, and historical implications, and heterogeneity of the nature underlying the different internal and international migrations make it the more difficult and complex to study. Chung et al believe that it is time to bring together a collection of scholarly works from across the disciplines of the sciences, arts, and humanities on the aspects of migration reflecting on health status, health care delivery and related public policy. |
