Bedbug infestations recorded in Central Italy

Abstract In summer 2003 two separate infestations due to the common bedbug ( Cimex lectularius ) occurred in Pisa, Italy. Cutaneous reaction was evident and one patient developed a severe bullous eruption. In both cases there was circumstantial evidence for association with international travel.
