Zusammenfassung: | Pairman cites that the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) has developed a unique process, the Midwifery Services Framework (MSF), to help countries apply the latest evidence, standards and guidance to improve their policy and programming environment and develop and implement Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Health (SRMNH) services provided by midwives. SRMNH services are crucial to the health of women and children and are a core component of every health system. The rights of women and their newborns to available, accessible, acceptable, quality health services during childbirth have long been recognized and millennium development goal (MDG) 5 specifically focused on improving maternal health. |
