Reproductive strategy and oocyte recruitment process of European hake (Merluccius merluccius) in Galician shelf waters

Larger hake females have both higher batch fecundity and numbers of developing oocytes, however this is influenced by external energy availability and capacity to store energy in the short-term in the liver and muscle tissue.
