Zusammenfassung:	The purpose of this paper is to make a critical approach to the exercise of the transposition of the novel El Club Dumas, by Arturo Pérez Reverte (1993) to Roman Polanski's film, La novena puerta (1999). By tracking the persistent, metarereferential imprint of both texts, the author outlines an explanatory reading about the suggestive transformation of the title of the literary text in its passage to the filmic text.
