Zusammenfassung:The latent period is the main parameter of the slow rusting resistance on wheat cultivars. The aim of researches was selection of wheat cultivars with the longest latent period under the inoculation of 5 leaf rust pathotypes in an artificial climate chamber. The evaluation of 15 wheat cultivars different partial resistance and possessing diverse resistance genes to leaf rust pathotypes was carried out. The susceptible check was line Khakasskaya. Determination of the latent period was carried out on wheat seedlings in controllable conditions. Wheat cultivars have been divided into three groups on duration of the latent period. To the first group it has been related cultivars with duration of the latent period like susceptible check - 8 days. To the second group it was cultivars with the longer latent period (9-9.67). The greatest interest is represented cultivars with the latent period of 10-11 days. The spring cultivars Amir, Lada, Ester, Miss with resistance gene Lr25, and winter cultivars Kuma, Batko, Krasnodarskaya 99, Millennium with adult plant resistance gene Lr22a were among them. Direct correlation between the area under a curve of development of disease (AUCDP) and duration of the latent period is revealed.
