Synthesis of novel isoxazoline-containing podophyllotoxin/2′(2′,6′)-(di)halogenopodophyllotoxin derivatives and their insecticidal/acaricidal activities

[Display omitted] In continuation of our program aimed at the development of natural product-based pesticidal agents, a series of isoxazoline-containing podophyllotoxin/2′(2′,6′)-(di)halogenopodophyllotoxin derivatives were prepared, and their structures were well characterized by 1H NMR, IR, optical rotation, HRMS and mp. Especially the structure of compound Ia was further confirmed by 1H–1H COSY and NOESY spectrum. Among them, two compounds showed good insecticidal and acaricidal activities against Mythimna separata and Tetranychus cinnabarinus. Their structure–activity relationships were also observed.
