Zusammenfassung:Cotts and Cifu present research on the treatment of osteoporosis. They recommend patients with osteoporosis that they do not require BMO monitoring during treatment is based on low-quality evidence and an absence of evidence of benefit. Patients receiving antiresorptive therapy who do not show benefit in terms of BMD still obtain benefit in terms of fracture reduction. The guideline also recommends against use of estrogenic compound for osteoporosis.
