Zusammenfassung:	Volatiles from the wood‐rotting fungi Schizophyllum commune, Datronia mollis and Pycnoporus cinnabarinus were obtained by hydrodistillation and investigated by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. In total, 20 compounds could be identified for the first time as volatile constituents of fungi. Major components were 1‐hepten‐3‐one, 1‐octen‐3‐ol and 2‐pentyl furan.
