Florida: mentally retarded rape victims screwed by the system?

A Miami judge gave a multiply disabled woman, who has the mental capacity of a four-year-old, permission to receive abortion after she was raped and became pregnant. The ruling struck down Florida Gov Jeb Bush's request that a guardian be appointed for a mentally disabled rape victim's fetus. The woman's case is one of two in a series of landmark Florida cases that are redefining the boundaries of laws covering the pregnancies rape victims with mental disability.
