Bacillaceae
of the phylum
Firmicutes
and that it shares high (94.7%) sequence similarity with
Alteribacillus persepolensis
DSM 21632

and does not show sequence similarities of more than 94.0% to known members of other related genera. The major fatty acids (> 10%) were identified as anteiso-C
