Review on international cooperation of CNC-IGBP

The International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme （IGBP） is an international scientific research programme initiated and organized by the International Council for Science Unions （ICSU） in 1986 （http：//www.igbp.kva.se）. The IGBP＇s mission is to deliver scientific knowledge to help human societies develop in harmony with Earth＇s environment. On May 24, 1988, Chinese National Committee for the International Geophere-Biosphere Programme （CNC-IGBP） affiliated to IGBP, was founded in Beiiin~. CNC-IGBP, led directly by China Association for Science andTechnology （CAST）, is a non-governmental academic organization aiming at developing and arranging Chinese scientists to attend the international IGBP activities （http：//www.igbp-cnc.org.cn）.
