Zusammenfassung:The results of two independent experimental investigations into the radial velocities of jets and plumes are reported. Micro Acoustic Doppler and Digital Particle Image Velocimetry techniques are employed to make the measurements. The radial velocity data shows good agreement with integral model predictions. Other mean and fluctuating statistics are generally consistent with previous results, although it is notable that the axial fluctuation statistics are generally higher when compared to previously reported data.
