Zusammenfassung:Poly (hydroxy alkanoic acid) (PHA) polymers are synthesized by numerous microorganisms. These compounds have similar properties to synthetic plastics with excellent biodegradability. Here we report identification and cloning of phaC sub(1) and phaC sub(2) genes of type II PHA synthase gene from the Iranian isolate of P. aeroginosa PTCC 1310 bacterium. The sequences of both genes were isolated using PCR amplification with specific primers and cloned into pTZ57R cloning vectors as pTZPHAC1 and pTZPHAC2. The correct sequence of the cloned genes was confirmed by restriction digestion followed by partial sequencing. The vectors could be used for future sub-cloning and expression analysis purposes.
