Zusammenfassung:We describe a new species of Colostethus from the Península de Paria in northeastern Venezuela. It inhabits the cloud forest of Cerro El Humo at an altitude of around 1000 m. By its morphology, the new species most closely resembles Colostethus bromelicola from the central Venezuelan Coastal Range. It can be confidently distinguished from other Colostethus by a suite of characters, including its dorsal pattern, absence of fringes on fingers, absence of a lingual process, and absence of yellow or orange chest coloration. This description increases to 33 the number of Colostethus species known from Venezuela.
