Zusammenfassung:	The multicentric variant of plasma-cell Castleman's disease (MCD) often coexists with Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) in HIV-1-infected patients, and this association could be explained by the possible involvement of human herpes virus 8 (HHV-8) in their pathogenesis. MCD has never been described in an HIV-2-infected patient. We report the first case of MCD associated with HIV type 2 infection and its successful management with rituximab.
