Preventing stolen childhood

We read with interest The Lancet Editorial (June 10, p 2264)1 on the End of Childhood Report 2017 by Save the Children,2 which assesses major risks threatening children's wellbeing. In the report, Greece, which is experiencing an unprecedented socioeconomic crisis with profound detrimental effects on all aspects of everyday life,3 was ranked 18th among 172 countries assessed, while Denmark was 21st, the UK 23rd, and Latvia 30th.
