The aerobic oxidation toward a transient ortho-quinone methide was efficiently catalyzed by a manganese(III) species MnL3 while the ensuing Michael addition of β-dicarbonyl compounds proved to be catalyzed by a chiral manganese phosphate MnL2X*. |
