Zusammenfassung: | [2] A recent randomized controlled trial, however, concluded that a combination of albendazole (15mg/kg) and praziquantel (50mg/kg) was superior to albendazole alone in standard or high doses, in clearing of lesions from the brain, with no demonstrable increase in side effects. The same systematic review did suggest that persistence of lesions on the computed tomographic scan indicated a higher risk of recurrence and warranted a longer duration of antiepileptic therapy.
