Zusammenfassung:Abstract A 40-year-old female patient with a remote history of a curatively treated malignant melanoma presented with the diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) made in another hospital. Further diagnostic workup including a PET-CT scan revealed that the HCM phenotype was produced by cardiac involvement of metastatic melanoma. For this reason, the primary diagnosis of HCM had to be retracted and melanoma-specific antineoplastic treatment was initiated.
