Zusammenfassung:New salicylaldimine‐based diboron complexes 1–3 have been synthesized and characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and single‐crystal X‐ray analysis (1 and 3). The photophysical and electrochemical properties of these compounds have been investigated experimentally and with theoretical calculations; their properties suggest that these compounds could have potential applications for the manufacture of optoelectronic devices. New salicylaldimine‐based diboron fluorophores were synthesized. The photophysical and electrochemical properties of these new diboron compounds reveal that they will have potential applications in the manufacture of optoelectronic devices.
