Zusammenfassung: | Highlights • Seizure-induced signal changes on MRI (SCM) in patients with first seizures are associated with epileptiform activities. • The topography of SCM could be as follows: i ipsilateral hippocampus, thalamus and cerebral cortex, ii unilateral cortex, iii ipsilateral thalamus and cerebral cortex, iv bilateral hippocampus. • Topography of SCM involving the unilateral cortex and ipsilateral thalamus and its hyperperfusion state could be helpful in the differential diagnosis of seizure and other etiologies, including cerebral infarction. |
