Zusammenfassung:Studies on bioactivids of Ulva fasciata green algae extract as antitumor (Hela and T47D) and antioxidant have been conducted. Toxicity assay was conducted using BSLT method, whereas cynototocity assays against HeLa and T47D cell lines were conducted using MTT method while antioxidant assay was conducted using DPPH (2.2-diphenyl pikryl hibrazil) method. The toxicity tests showed that U. fasciata hexane fraction was considered to be very toxic with LC sub(50) value of 19,12 ppm. In the meantime, texans fraction of U. fasciata showed the best cytotoxic activity against HeLa cells (IC sub(50) = 25.6 ppm) and T47D cells (IC sub(50) = 28.7 ppm. However U. fascista extract did not show antioxidant activity with the IC sub(50) value much higher than vitamin C standard.Original Abstract: Riset untuk mempelajari bioaktivitas ekstrak makroalga hijau Ulva fasciata sebagai antitumor (HeLa dan T47D) dan antioksidan telah dilakukan. Uji toksisitas dilakukan dongan metode BSLT, uji sitotoksisitas terhadap sel tumor HeLa dan T47D dilakukan dengan metode uji MTT, sedangkan uji antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH (22-diphernyl pikryl hidrazil). Hasil uji toksisitas menunjukkan bahwa fraksi heksan U. fasciata memiliki toksisitas tertinggi dengan LC sub(50) sebesar 19,12 ppm sehingga tergolong sangat toksik. Sementara itu, fraksi heksan makroalga U. fasciata menunjukkan aktivitas sitotoksik yang baik terhadap sel tumor HeLa (IC sub(50)=25,6 ppm) dan terhadap sel tumor T47D (IC sub(50)=28,7 ppm). Akan tetapi, ekstrak kasar, fraksi metanol, dan fraksi heksan makroalga U.fasciata tidak menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan dengan nilai IC sub(50) yang masih jauh di atas standar vitamin C.
