Zusammenfassung:Highlights • Maternal hypothyroxinaemia in early pregnancy might be associated with hyperactivity/inattention in offspring at age 5, analogous to previous studies. • We have added that maternal thyroid function parameters in early pregnancy were not associated with other types of problem behavior in offspring. • The associations found were confined to teacher reports of hyperactivity/inattention. • Causality has not yet been proven.
