Extraforaminal compression of the L5 nerve: An anatomical study with application to failed posterior decompressive procedures

Highlights • This study investigated possible neurologic causes of failed decompression surgery. • Larger bone space for nerve egress resulted in no signs of neural compromise. • Females and left sides were more likely to have more confined L5 outlets.
