Zusammenfassung:The oxidation temperature for multiwall carbon nanotubes purified chemically and evaluated morphologically is qualified by scanning electron microscopy. The samples obtained by different methods have oxidation temperature 1033 ± 10 K. The results are based on the oxidative extraction of carbon, as CO 2 , in an oxygen flow and on coulometry at 773–1173 K. That carbon does not oxidize at lower and higher temperatures indicates that the carbon component is pure. For the standardization system of carbon nanomaterials developed by ISO, this chemical method for measuring the amount for multiwall nanotubes is suitable.
