The current medical literature. Mycophenolate mofetil is an immunosuppressive agent that has been used for transplant recipients. More recently, this agent has been used to treat several inflammatory conditions. Mycophenolate mofetil has the potential to be a useful agent in the treatment of several inflammatory conditions, including systemic lupus erythematosus.
