Electrocardiographic conundrum: what is the reason of QRS axis variability?

Zusammenfassung: | The electrocardiograms labeled A and B belong to a 79-year-old patient admitted for syncope (2 episodes in 1 month). The electrocardiogram A, recorded on admission, shows a bifascicular block (right bundle branch block [RBBB]) associated with left posterior fascicular block (QRS axis about +115 degrees), a pattern suggesting that an intermittent possibly advanced or complete A-V block was the cause of syncope. Syncope is a temporary loss of consciousness usually related to insufficient blood flow to the brain. |
