Pay rates for vets and medics

IN response to a job advertisement published in Veterinary Record on February 4, 2017 (vol 180, p iv) for a Senior Clinical Research Fellowship in Infection at the University of Liverpool's Institute of Infection and Global Health, offering differing pay rates depending on whether the successful candidate had a veterinary or medical degree, a number of BVA members expressed concern to us.
